Why do you charge commission fee?
The commision fee collected ensures our delivery partners are fairly paid and enables us to provide platform services for online ordering and delivery services. We believe our delivery partners need this boost to cover their time, distance travelled and efforts adequately on top of the delivery fee paid by customers. The remainder, if any, is used to cover operating costs, which includes delivery partner insurance, cashless payment transaction costs, product and service improvements, marketing cost and backend manpower like customer service for you, customers and delivery partners.
What documents do I need to become a foodora partner?
We will ask you to provide a copy of the following documents so we can verify and validate things on our side: - Food Business Liscence - Tax,VAT and employer certificate (if applicable)
What is the radius of foodora delivery?
Our delivery radius is set to within a 15 minute drive time from the location of the business or shop. This is to ensure our partners are close to their customers while keeping the orders fresh.
How will I receive orders from foodora
foodora will provide you with a tablet that comes pre-installed with software that you can use to manage and receive customer orders.
Can I stop orders if it gets too busy?
Yes, our partners can pause orders at any time. Using our tablet, you can pause your store from collecting orders for a specific time period. You can also indicate that your store is busy, letting customers know to expect longer prep times.
How frequently will I get paid?
You can choose if you to be paid weekly, bi-weekly or monthly
What happens once I go live?
Once you become a foodora partner, you will have a dedicated account manager who will assist you in boosting your orders and revenues on the platform. Additionally, you will be granted access to foodora's Vendor Portal, where you can find more details about the platform's operations and logistics, training materials, and the ability to manage your listings.
Can I sign up with foodora if I am a home-based kitchen
If you are a Home-Based Kitchen you can sign up with foodora aslong as your kitchen is registered a food business license in your muncipality
What does 'brand name' mean?
This is the name of your store that you will want to display on the foodora application and website to customers.
Why do you need my store number details?
Providing accurate phone number details during sign up is crucial for ensuring smooth communication between the restaurant and the food delivery platform, as well as for providing good customer service to customers. The number provided will be used for order confirmation, delivery instructions, customer service and such.
What is a store type?
This information tells us what the nature of your business operations are. For example, if your business involves the sale of packaged food, electronics or medicines, it can be classified as a "Shop". Alternatively, if your business involves the preparation and sale of freshly cooked food, it can be categorised as a "Restaurant".
I have not listed my business on Google yet. Do I need to create one?
That's all right. While we do recommend creating a listing with Google for your business, we do not require it to take you online.
Can I still pinpoint my business on this map?
Yes you can. Please follow the steps below. 1. Zoom in and zoom out to adjust the map view to your desired level of detail. 2. Once you have located your business on the map, click on the exact spot where it is located. 3. A red pin will drop onto the map. Move the pin to the precise location of your business.
Why are you collecting food business lisence?
foodora needs to ensure that the business being onboarded on foodora is active and legally registered with the government. Restaurant adress and Company legal name must be as per the License.
Why are you collecting VAT information?
This is to ensure that the business revenue is registered under the VAT regulation for UAE as per the federal decree-Law.
Why are you requesting for banking details?
Providing accurate banking details is essential because this is how you will receive your payments for orders fulfilled through the platform. It also important for security reasons.If the details provided are incorrect, payments could potentially be sent to the wrong account. By providing the right information, the you can ensure that your payments are secure and delivered to the correct account.
How do I pay the startup fee?
The start up fee will be drawn off you sales on the platform
I don't have a food business lisence, can I still onboard my business?
We regret to inform you that we cannot proceed with onboarding your business until we receive a copy of your valid food business license. This document is a legal requirement and without it, we are unable to move forward with the process.
What is a cover photo? Where is it shown on the app? What are the specifications for a cover photo?
Cover photo must be good quality with many dishes or main dish, it should be wide angle. Cover photos can’t contain text over the meal or a cropped item. Cover photo can't be on white or grey background. Menu Item Images Menu images must be in landscape mode. Item name and image name should be matching for accurate uploads. Raw food images are not accepted, barring fresh meat shops such as fish/meat stalls.
What is a start up fee?
Start up fee is a one-time sign up fee that is charged by foodora to cover the costs of setting up your business. The fee covers the costs associated with the onboarding process, such as account setup, tablets etc.
When do I pay the start up fee?
The registration fee is necessary to cover the costs of onboarding your restaurant onto our platform. This is not payed upront and instead you pay this fee with the sales from our service. We believe that investing in our platform will help you grow your business and increase your revenue. By partnering with foodora, you'll gain access to a vast network of customers who are searching for restaurants just like yours. Our platform makes it easy for you to manage orders, track deliveries, and connect with new customers.
How far can you deliver from my restaurant?
When you are online with foodora, you can reach customer up to 5 km from your restaurant
